ECHO News Page:

Site Update:

Oct 21, 2003:

This month sees the start of my official ECHO page. Although the page has been in existance since early 2001 it has been dormant for a while. On Oct 28th I will take possession of my new 2000 Toyota ECHO. The car only has 30,000 Km on it and is practically brand new. I will be including a maintenance log on this site that is firstly for my reference, but may also be of interest to other ECHO owners and enthusiasts.

Oct 28, 2003 13H00:

There are only about three(3) hours before I get the ECHO and I'm pretty excited. I'll post pictures in photo section in the next few days of my new little car. It's pretty well stock now, but I have a whole host of mods to be done. Please see the logs for details on the modifications.

Oct 28, 2003 17H30:

Received car with 30939 Km on the odometer and it runs fantastic, like new. Will have more news as I drive the car and get my first impressions on the ride and the overall condition of the car.

I have had the car for one week now and it's running great. I installed the front hood protector and the cargo net. Later this month I will be installing my car radio and next month I will install the shifter knob and boot I'll be posting pictures in the photo section of all the mods.

Had to re-adjust the windshield wiper blade on the driver's side and discovered that the small teeth holding the windshield wiper arm in place are slightly eaten away. I adjusted the arm and tightened it the best I could and will have to keep an eye out for it to make sure it doesn't strip completely. I also noted that the left turn signal seemed a little sticky the last few days. I think this may just be a sticky relay, but I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens in the next few days.

It's been almost a month since I've owned my Toyota and other than a few very minor things the car is running smooth as silk. I will be buying Winter tires in the next few weeks as we are quick approaching the snowy season here in Montreal.
